All Event Decorating Academy applicants are given a unique number upon application. This number becomes your Student ID. The Academy does not store academic record information by your social security number. As such, communicate in person and in writing using your name or student ID number.
Communication to Students
The official communication method that The Event Decorating Academy uses to notify its students is through their email account. All Academy administration, staff, and faculty use your email account to communicate with you, and we may also contact you by phone.
The Event Decorating Academy will not release any information without your written consent before the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your education records. However, Event Decorating Academy may disclose appropriate information without consent to those designated as school officials and in the case of emergencies. Directory information, which is information that is generally not considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if released, can also be disclosed to outside organizations without a student’s prior written consent. If you do not want the Event Decorating Academy to disclose directory information from your records without your prior written consent, you must notify the Admissions Office. The following information may be designated as directory information: Student name, Dates of attendance & Course of study.
Reservation & Payment Policy
We limit our class sizes to assure that every student receives the best experience possible. All classes are first come first served.
To reserve your spot, you must complete an application and submit it with a deposit of 25% of the course fee. This may be done online , by phone 786.-369.1723, by fax 866.931.2797, by email or in person 1100 S Dixie Hwy, Hollywood, FL 33020
We accept all credit cards, Postal money orders or Cashier’s checks drawn on U.S. banks. Checks will only be accepted 30 prior to the start of class. Make checks and money orders payable to Event Decorating Academy.
Due to our limited class size, we take cancellation very serious. Please read carefully before signing up for classes.
Our class group is from 10 to 25 students depending on the class. When you register we require a deposit to save your spot.
The deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you cancel 31 days or more before the class, your payment becomes a credit only towards future classes, minus the deposit. You have one year to use the credit and a new deposit must be placed to reserve your spot.
If you cancel 30 days or less before the class, we cannot refund the tuition. You will lose your payment in full unless you find a person to take your space. As we know that emergencies and catastrophic things happen unexpectedly, please let us know the situation and we will weigh the reason for the cancellation and determine a decision case by case. You are responsible for providing any necessary proof.
We reserve the right to cancel classes due to an emergency, bad weather or low attendance. In the event of this happening, all your money including the deposit will be return in full. Please verify the class before booking a flight or hotel.
Each deposit is for that specific class and is not transferable to other classes except as per the above cancellation policy.

At the Event Decorating Academy, we like everyone who comes here to learn with a positive attitude . We have students from many countries and cultures. We will not discriminate based race, color, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age in its courses and activities. (But you must be 18 or have the permission of a parent or guardian to attend as we use tools)
Course Attendance Policy
Students are expected to attend each day of their registered course. If a student misses a day, they will need to make up that day before they can take the competency exam and receive their certiﬁcate and IACET CEUs. Course hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM unless otherwise stated in a course description .
Upon admission to The Event Decorating Academy, students agree to act responsibly in all areas of personal and social conduct and to take full responsibility for their individual and collective action. When a student exhibits disruptive behavior that appears to pose a threat to the health and safety of the student or others, that student may be dismissed or law enforcement may have to be involved.'
Intellectual and Legal Property Rights:
The Academy has invested signiﬁcantly into producing our books, procedure manuals, software, photos, and other documents, both electronic and printed. It is against the law to take intellectual property of another for your personal use or for the beneﬁt of others without the express consent of the owner of the property.
If we sound harsh, it is because we hold these items to be of great value.
