The Certified Event Decorator® program is our most popular course. The credential is exclusive to decorators that have completed the intensive 100 hr — certification program to equal to 10 CEUs at the Event Decorating Academy®. Students are required to pass the written and hands-on test in order to receive the certification. The course includes lessons on business management, balloon decor, fabric draping, floral design, and props. From here our students can choose to specialize in a specific subject and take the masterclasses to become an event designer.
The Certified Event Master Designer ™ designation is an accredited program exclusive to
Decorators that have completed the intensive 100 hr. course to equal to 10 CEUs and then had taken 100
hrs course to equal to 10 CEUs of Master design classes at the Event Decorating Academy®
Event design is a competitive business. The key to success is getting yourself educated and hold the proper credentials to be on a different level from everyone else. This online event design course is a comprehensive program that will teach you everything you need to know about designing events- from, color theory, fabrics and Furniture styles, lighting wall and ceiling treatments, drawing a floor plan, portfolio development and Design Trends.
Our balloon decorating programs are full of exciting and modern designs. They give the experience in
constructing various frames and creating balloon arch, canopy, organic designs, walls, and ceiling
designs. It is crucial to get the proper training to be a successful balloon decorator. Our instructors
will lead step-by-step with focusing on techniques and proper installation for that professional look.
We are the only school in the world that offers Balloon Design Certificate programs that earn CEUs. Through our series of online and hands-on courses, our knowledgeable instructors will guide students through all the smart balloon practices as well as the laws for safety and environmental.
The fabric draping courses will give the experience in constructing various frames to create entrances, arches, backdrops, stages, gazebos, table and chair designs for different events. We accept all credit cards. Money orders, Cashier’s checks and business/personal checks drawn on U.S. banks will only be accepted 30 prior to the start of class. Make checks and money orders payable to Event Decorating Academy.
Due to our limited class size, we take cancellation very serious. Please read carefully before signing up for classes.
Our class group is from 10 to 25 students depending on the class. When you register we require a deposit to save your spot.
The deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you cancel 31 days or more before the class, your payment becomes a credit only towards future classes, minus the deposit. You have one year to use the credit and a new deposit must be placed to reserve your spot.
If you cancel 30 days or less before the class, we cannot refund the tuition. You will lose your payment in full unless you find a person to take your space. As we know that emergencies and catastrophic things happen unexpectedly, please let us know the situation and we will weigh the reason for the cancellation and determine a decision case by case. You are responsible for providing any necessary proof.
We reserve the right to cancel classes due to an emergency, bad weather or low attendance. In the event of this happening, all your money including the deposit will be return in full. Please verify the class before booking a flight or hotel.
Each deposit is for that specific class and is not transferable to other classes except as per the above cancellation policy.

At the Event Decorating Academy, we like everyone who comes here to learn with a positive attitude . We have students from many countries and cultures. We will not discriminate based race, color, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age in its courses and activities. (But you must be 18 or have the permission of a parent or guardian to attend as we use tools)
Upon completion of courses, students are required to take a competency exam and must have a passing grade of 70% or higher. Students who do not pass exams the ﬁrst time will have two more attempts. If they do not pass on the ﬁnal effort, it is required that the student retake the course. We want you to succeed and permit any student that does not achieve a 70% grade to retake the course without a course fee. Students retaking the course must pay a nominal $15 per
Students are expected to attend each day of their registered course. If a student misses a day, they will need to make up that day before they can take the competency exam and receive their certiﬁcate and IACET CEUs. Course hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM unless otherwise stated in a course description .
Upon admission to The Event Decorating Academy, students agree to act responsibly in all areas of personal and social conduct and to take full responsibility for their individual and collective action. When a student exhibits disruptive behavior that appears to pose a threat to the learning environment or safety of the student or others, that student may be dismissed or law enforcement may have to be involved.'
The Academy has invested signiﬁcantly into producing our books, procedure manuals, software, photos, and other documents, both electronic and printed. It is against the law to take intellectual property of another for your personal use or for the beneﬁt of others without the express consent of the owner of the property.
If we sound harsh, it is because we hold these items to be of great value.
Flexible registration available: EDA offers continuous enrollment opportunities by telephone, in person and online. We accept registration up to 2 days before the course begins, or until class is full.

All Event Decorating Academy applicants are given a unique number upon application. This number is used internally as your Student ID. The Academy does not collect, nor store student/attendee social security numbers.
Communication to Students
The official communication method that The Event Decorating Academy uses to notify its students is through email. All Academy administration, staff, and faculty use your email account to communicate with you, and we may also contact you by phone.
The Event Decorating Academy will not release any information without your written consent before the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your education records. However, Event Decorating Academy may disclose appropriate information without consent to those designated as school officials, accreditation bodies and in the case of emergencies. Directory information, which is information that is generally not considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if released, can also be disclosed to outside organizations without a student’s prior written consent. If you do not want the Event Decorating Academy to disclose directory information from your records without your prior written consent, you must notify the Admissions Office. The following information may be designated as directory information: Student name, Dates of attendance & course of study.

Regulations: Classes are for the sole purpose of training you as an event decorator not for teaching purposes. The EDA prohibits anyone from teaching our curriculum.
